Different Stages. Different Opportunities.

The Harbor welcomes young leaders ages 17–28, recognizing that a high school student, college student, and post-college graduate may be in very different places in life. Placement expectations are shaped around each stage, giving young leaders an experience that is meaningful, appropriately challenging, and connected to where they are headed.

Gifts in Action

You may discover that the gifts you already have of creative, technical, relational, or organizational can make a meaningful impact in ministry. Through hands-on experience, you’ll begin to see how your strengths can become a way to serve others, strengthen the church, and make a difference in the world around you. Some of our young leaders gain a better understanding of what's possible.

Space to Discern

You may need time and space to figure out what comes next—and that’s okay. The Harbor gives you room to try new things, ask deeper questions, learn from trusted people, and begin to recognize which paths align with your gifts, values, faith, and sense of purpose. You don’t have to have the answer yet; you’ll have people and experiences around you to help you notice where God may be leading you.

A Future in Ministry

Your Harbor experience may spark something you hadn’t considered before: ministry as part of your future. What begins as a chance to serve and explore can help you imagine how your gifts could someday be used through a ministry career, whether that happens now or years down the road. For some of our young leaders, that journey has even led to a full-time ministry position after completing the program.
